Privacy Policy — Gus
Short version
Gus helps you notice and list likely maintenance items. In v1, your house answers, honey-do list, and photos stay on your device. No account. No analytics SDK. We do not sell your data. We do not upload your pictures.
What Gus stores (on this device only)
- A nickname for you and for the house, and the answers you give on a walk
- The honey-do list Gus writes from those answers
- Optional close-up photos you choose to take or pick, cropped when you save them
- Settings such as humor on/off and units
Nothing in that list is sent to Sentinel Systems Group or to a remote model.
What Gus does not do in v1
- No sign-in, email, or user ID
- No advertising, tracking pixels, or sale of data
- No location
- No microphone recording
- No sharing of the list or photos with other users
- Photos are optional. You can finish every zone without taking one. The camera is not used until you tap Take photo.
If you export Markdown or use the system share sheet, you are sending a copy. Gus does not transmit it for you.
The App Store / Play shell may load the Gus interface over HTTPS. That is the app itself, not a copy of your house file.
Photo notes
Gus helps you notice and list likely maintenance items. A line such as “possible failed caulk” is a canned note from the kind of shot you took and the answers you typed. It is not a diagnosis of your house, a lab result, a moisture reading, or a medical or inspection finding. In v1 nothing is uploaded, and no remote model looks at your pixels.
How to delete
- Open Settings in Gus.
- Tap Delete photos and this house.
- Confirm. The profile, answers, list, and every local photo file on this device are removed. Humor and units stay unless you change them.
You can also delete individual photos from a job. Uninstalling Gus removes what this app stored on that device. We cannot delete a copy you already exported or shared yourself, because we never received it.
Children
Gus is a home-maintenance notepad. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If a later version sends data off the device, we will update this page and the in-app privacy screen before that version ships. v1 does not.
